I am interested in health and HIV/AIDS system reforms, development and strengthening; particularly in health and HIV/AIDS financing reforms that seek to increase the pool of available resources and those that aim to control costs and use of resources more efficiently. The issue of sustainable health care financing and delivery is very topical, especially in developing countries such as Uganda, and as such a theme of great interest for me. Further, i am interested in health and HIV/AIDS sector policy and strategic planning. Making strategies work is still a difficult developmental undertaking and also one which is becoming a focus of attention in the face of dwindling global resources for health and HIV/AIDS. My interests also touch on aid effectiveness issues; donor coordination/harmonization and alignment; health impact assessment programmes/studies and also in evidence and information for health policy and strategies.
