Project Manager Water Savings
CurrentGoulburn Murray Water G-MW provides water resource management and delivery of irrigation water to customers across northern Victoria. The $2 billion project to deliver water long term average water savings of 429 GL/ yr from the reduction of historical water losses, is funded from the State of Victoria and Federal Government, interfacing with many stakeholders. NVIRP (see work below) merged with Goulburn Murray Water (G-MW) mid 2012. The Project is due to be completed by 2018.o Responsible for project managing annual independent external audits, used to verify achievement of annual water savings delivered by irrigation distribution channel modernisation works, the Project ($2 billion, 429 GL/ yr).o Managing and providing expert authoritative advice in the area of water savings / recovery for the Project. Influence and contributing to the design of programmes to achieve project water savings targets, eg development of scope of works, business case for channel remediation, managing data various contractors and consultants eg geophysics, GIS soil mapping.o Providing leadership and guidance on investigations to maximise irrigation distribution system savings delivered from the Project and thereby reduce the potential costs of the Project (from avoided costs /capital work required to deliver water savings).
