Post Office Supplies – UK central procurement base and stores facility for Royal Mail• Initially Buyer in a team of 8, for the last 18 months was a/Head of Department responsible for 40 staff over 3 locations and 40,000 line items. Responsibilities included:• Direct purchase and control of 3,500 line items, (overall later for 40,000 lines) including 3 specific sorting machines from Germany, France and UK• A direct spend of c £20M• Strict conformity to European GATT regulations• SRM and performance monitoring for a strategic base of around 30 suppliers• Last 18 months had responsibility for 11 DRs with overall responsibility for 40 staff
