I currently teach Calculus, Statistics, and Discrete Math for Computer Science at Truman College.My background combines analytical thinking, persuasive communication, and collaborative problem-solving. I have earned the trust of students and colleagues by addressing concerns thoughtfully and fostering collaboration, even in resistant environments.With a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Mathematics, I bring a deep foundation in analytical thinking and problem-solving. I applied these skills as the Director of Strategic Initiatives by managing all analytical tasks within the college administration.Throughout my roles, I have relied heavily on Excel to analyze student data and develop data-driven arguments for organizational change. When working with data, I focus on effective storytelling, and my goal is to present the most relevant variables in the most compelling way. I take pride in designing clean, well-structured pivot tables and charts that are both aesthetically pleasing and easy to interpret. Additionally, I am proficient in Python and Pandas for data manipulation and have completed courses on SQL, linear modeling, tree-based modeling, classification, and clustering using R.I have taken and passed three actuarial exams.
