KPBS is a not-for-profit organization under Internal Revenue Code section 501 C(3).As a part of the On-Air Fundraising Department, my primary roles included:• Wrote, edited, reviewed, and updated scripts for television and radio for use in pledge messaging during fundraisers including premiums, cases, promos, and announcer reads.• Spearheaded data-driven fundraising campaigns aimed at fostering new member engagement and fostering relationships, consistently surpassing multiple $100,000 fundraising milestones. Notably, orchestrated holiday pledge drives that generated over $500,000 in donations.• Performed hands-on production; cutting and editing audio, wrote email copy, scheduled crew, arranged craft services, calendared dates, set up events, etc.• Initiated and researched new fundraising opportunities with goal of new member engagement and cultivation.• Produced breaks for radio and television during fundraisers.

During my time at KCR College Radio, I became familiar with industry-standard hardware, including soundboard operation and video live-streaming equipment. My roles additionally encouraged me to utilize software such as Audacity and Adobe Audition. • Creator of award-winning original programming including The Diner is Always Open (live show), Dear Jenny Perth (live show), and Radio Horror Redone (podcast).• Hosted a weekly one-hour live show where I promote the KCR brand via sponsorships.• Curated playlists devoid of any inappropriate or offensive materials.• Wrote, edited, and directed a comedy-horror podcast series which incorporated live instrumentation and improvisation.

As an undergraduate intern, my responsibilities included:• Working through the process of composing, publishing, and later, promoting a book consisting of a collection of selected poems that have been submitted by writers all over the world.• Advertising PI sponsored events through the creation of promotional materials including press releases and email blasts.• Attending CAL meetings to apply for funding in addition to handling responses directed towards our organization. • Reviewing submissions for scholarship recipients and archiving older recipients for their digital library.
