Responsible to manage provision of fire and emergency management in the Southern Metro Region of CFA, including municipalities of City of Greater Danadenong, Part of Kingston, City of Frankston, City of Casey, Mornington Pen SC, Cardinia and Bass Coast. 250 staff and 3300 volunteers across 69 fire brigades protecting close to 1M Victorians.SMR is CFA's busiest Region with approximately 11000 primary emergency calls per annum, which equates to approximately 30% of all CFA's response activity.Managed Region during the Black Saturday Bushfires. SMR experienced 182 fires on that day including the Bunyip Track fire of 26500 hectares. SMR had 4 of its fires from Black Saturday reviewed by the Royal Commission and the team at SMR were commended for their management. There was no life and limited property loss from those fires.

Several years as a Breathing Apparatus, Structural Fire Attack and Hazardous Materials Instructor within Region and at Fiskville.Since joining CFA as a staff member in 1993, I have held many operational and support roles including Regional Duty Officer, Planning Officer, Aircraft Officer, Control Centre Manager and strategic leadership roles since becoming an executive in the CFA
