I’ve been working in the hospitality industry since 2018 and since then I’ve developed fast into several different roles. After just 4 months, I was offered the position of bar supervisor, something I jumped at the opportunity to take. During my year as supervisor, I was responsible for keeping the standards required of the production of drinks which included an extensive cocktail menu. In addition to this, I was relied upon to handle stock and place orders accordingly. I was in the position for a year, after which I was offered the job of General Manager of Framptons New Forest. This meant I kept the requirements already expected of me, but took on more for the whole site, which included making sure service standards are kept, producing relevant staff rotas which reflect sales week by week, keeping track of food standards being made by our kitchen, as well as many others. One major job I have to undertake is keeping to within budgets and making adjustments to reflect sales, something that proves challenging especially in this industry, but something I’m constantly proving myself at. As it can be seen, I’ve been in the hospitality industry for a relatively short time, however I’ve used that time well and proved that I am willing to learn and adapt as well as work incredibly hard to help the site achieve its goals.
