I help families to protect their assets and to move those at the right time to succeeding generations, tax efficiently and always having regard to family dynamics. My clients are both UK and non-UK domiciled and often have assets situated outside the UK. I began my professional life 30 years ago as a tax lawyer particularly specialising in corporate taxation but early on opted to specialise on the private client side as I enjoy the close working relationships that I have built up as a trusted adviser to many families.As head of the charities sector, my specialist work on trust structures led me into advising Charities on formation, governance and the regulatory issues to which they are subject. I am chair of three charities namely Shakespeare North Trust, Scotscare and The Kelmarsh Trust which reflect the diversity of the sector being arts and culture, welfare and conservation organisationsI am recognised in Chambers, Legal 500 and Citywealth for my specialist knowledge..
