Thirty (30) years working in Mining & Resources as: Managing Director, Chief Geologist, Geologic Consultant, in Project Evaluations/Acquisitions, as Exploration Manager, and a Senior Mine Geologist. Combined with law studies and a qualification in financial analysis I possess the broad range of skills, experiences and business acumen necessary to explore and develop a resource project, or successfully promote and run an ASX listed company. Multi commodity experience (dominant gold background) having explored for and/or mined: structural/lode style gold, epithermal gold veins and porphyry Cu-Au systems, Volcanic Hosted Massive Sulfides, plus Hematite and Magnetite iron ore deposits. Broad range of operational experiences having managed projects in Australia, Africa, South America and Europe.Lead Project Evaluation/Acquisition as Chief Geologist at Auroch. As Managing Director of an ASX listed company I was responsible for company promotion, corporate reporting, facilitated divestment of non-core assets to assist funding exploration (protecting shareholder value), and adopted a ‘hands on’ approach to project development. Prior to that heavily focused on increasing resources and moving projects towards development as a regional exploration manager and prefeasibility study manager in developing countries with annual budgets approaching US$10M. Negotiated and managed agreements with government, private land holders and competitor companies.Proven Health & Safety and Sustainability focus developed over 30 years working in exploration and mining environments with major companies (clearly demonstrated when Tanzania office received IAMGOLD President’s Annual Award for both Health & Safety and Sustainability whilst I was Country Manager).
