International Engagement Director, leading BSI engagement with a wide range of global stakeholders to support the adoption and implementation of standards to facilitate positive trade, sustainability and developmental outcomes. Working with consumer and sustainability organisations to support their participation in standards development activity and working with Government stakeholders in support of UK trade policy objectives. Co-Convenor of the ISO DEVCO working group focussed on the standardization needs of developing countries and leadership role within the Commonwealth Standards Network.

Head of International Engagement, developing BSI’s international relationships and creating opportunities to maximise those relationships for the benefit of BSI and our UK stakeholders.BSI is the UK’s National Standards Body. Working with more than 10,500 experts who represent business and industry, academia, researchers, consumers, regulators and other interested stakeholders, BSI shapes more than 2,000 standards every year. BSI’s standards are a statement of best practice, they improve the quality and reliability of products and services, enhance consumer protection and confidence, they help to achieve economies and efficiencies, and facilitate trade.

Policy and delivery role; promoting the UK financial services industry to a range of overseas based financial institutions, business and government contacts.

Management responsibility for a UK based team of 5 international business professionals and 4 overseas offices. Developed; implemented; monitored and evaluated strategies to attract increased levels of high-value investment into the South East of England, from Japan, China, India, Australia and South Korea.
