About Peter Smith

Since 1968 my career has revolved around solid / liquid separation , liquid / liquid separation and the equipment and chemicals used to bring about those processes.The first 4 years of my working life were spent evaluating the filtration characteristics of all manner of suspensions, far to many to even begin a list !!I then progressed into sales of flocculants and polymers for water clarification and filtration aids. During this 15 year employment I was very hands on becoming expert in the use and application of these products.Then moving back into Capital Equipment with English China Clays, Charlestown Engineering Div. This had been set up to sell the ECC filtration and processing equipment to other industries.In 1991 I began work with Centriquip Ltd and for 18 years roamed the UK and the world, often with my portable centrifuge trials unit, demonstrating, selling, hiring and commissioning the company range of decanter centrifuges.Finally now settled for several years with a previous centrifuge customer in CSG and their Willacy Oil Division I am still doing more or less the same thing that I have done since 1968, finding and assisting new customers with their solid liquid separation issues.
