Duties and responsibilities: maintenance of plant machinery and stationary plant equipment, being able to solve and troubleshoot problems efficiently keeping within budgets, sectors include mechanical, electrical and automation in the work shop or on site. Being able to plan and order parts for work efficiently that would reduce the down time of a machine. Within my time in Bord na Mona, I have worked with hydraulics, pnuematics and electrical actuators and motors in mobile and stationary plant and have been involved in the overhauling and fitting of this equipment. I was involved with machinery building where it involved bench fitting, reading of technical drawings, machining and turning and welding (gas,arc and Mig) and wiring machines.I have worked as part of a team on big overhauls and also the ability to work on my own initiative.
