I oversaw the development of custom robot actuators and components for actuators, and I supervised teams of mechanical and electrical engineers and purchasing specialists as large as 10 people per project. My work included managing as many as 3 projects simultaneously. I identified requirements and developed engineering specifications, maintained technical documentation, and coordinated testing. I was the primary interface between engineering and manufacturing groups and communicated extensively with suppliers, including TQ, Iljin, Kollmorgen, and Allied Motion. In addition, I managed full project life cycles, from inception through scheduling, prototyping, and delivery, and collaborated with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure the availability of all necessary materials.Selected Accomplishments:• Led the successful development of a custom robot actuator for an innovative humanoid robot.• Guided research teams that designed and delivered a new torque-sensor for a strain-wave actuator.• Improved quality from unacceptable to good at a major supplier by planning and leading 2 quality audits that identified key issues. Worked with supplier to develop and implement solutions.• Facilitated the identification of a critical strain wave gear life issue. Managed internal and external teams, coordinated the investigation, and successfully resolved the issue.

During this period, I directed the design, development, prototyping, testing, and delivery of electronic circuitry and related components and systems. I managed a portfolio of projects totaling more than $5.5M and provided technical sales support for North American-based, electrical vehicle products sales and all new systems worldwide. I led Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) for products developed for key automotive clients, including Toyota and Volvo. In this role, I supervised up to 10 people per project and coordinated global development teams. I also served on RFQ response teams, developed potential inventions for patent filings, and held responsibility for ITAR, IMDS, REACH and SCIP management for the company’s US products. I carried out Voice of the Customer (VoC) research and developed requirement specifications for products.Selected Accomplishments:• Managed a multi-functional team that created and integrated several vital subcomponents to support the response to a General Dynamics Land Systems RFQ for a Stryker vehicle’s generator system.• Developed the requirements specifications for JLTV vehicle’s generator system.• Contributed to millions of dollars in revenue growth by leading the design of profitable electrical systems and products in conjunction with multiple departments.• Enabled millions of dollars in annual revenue as Technical Project Lead on international initiatives.• Represented the company at top-level sales events with major companies as the Technical Presenter.• Delivered requirements for 2 products: Hybrid Generator System, Fly-by Wire Electrical Motor Steering System.

In this position, I managed a portfolio of projects for one of the top forklift manufactures in North America, where I planned and led technical projects, contract negotiations, and requirements gathering, and also prepared proposals. Selected Accomplishments:• Increased revenue from $1M to $1.5M (50%).• Secured more than $5M per year in new business, with a cumulative value of $75M.

I spearheaded complex projects and supervised a team of application engineers at Danaher Motion, which later was acquired by InMotion . While in this position, I was responsible for scheduling, requirements, test specification development, prototyping, quotations, and delivery.Selected Accomplishments:• Led the successful completion of 12 major application projects.• Participated in an International Truck Association (ITA) work group that produced the specifications for a CANOpen Device Profile for forklift trucks.
