I efficiently managed accounts payable by scheduling and processing payments through EFTs, wire transfers, cheques, e-transfers, and cash.I handled accounts receivable by forecasting payments, pursuing overdue payments, and processing incoming payments.I monitored cash flow by synthesizing receivable and payable information along with payroll, maintaining a positive balance and alerting executives to potential issues.I managed company credit cards by investigating issues, managing relationships with card providers, and monitoring spending.I issued invoices to customers filling in for the billing technician, and I maintained the confidentiality of sensitive financial data.I was a key contributor to company growth, increasing revenue from under $2M to over $10M and expanding the workforce from 12 to over 60 employees. This led to the sale of CloudOps to Aptum, which was completed in early 2023.

I managed the operations, resources, paperwork, and bookkeeping for a tech startup that grew into an established medium sized company. This was in a multi-office space accommodating 60+ workers and multiple companies, for whom I managed the resource availability and property management for sub-tenants.I oversaw facilities management including repairs, maintenance, rent charging, and coordination with building owners. I also organized and marketed events in the shared office space.As with any start up, I was required to take on many roles including HR support, government surveys, and social media outreach.

Working in partnership with Mike Taylor, owner of Avenue Video, to upgrade and optimize operations at his 3 locations in the Montreal West area, leading to improved efficiency and customer satisfaction.

I implemented and managed web campaigns to raise the search engine profile of small businesses across Canada through the development of website landing pages optimized for SEO strategies.This involved a wide array of skills both analytical and creative including keyword research, HTML, Photoshop, Excel, copy writing, editing, and customer service.

I helped grow the business from a one man operation into developing and managing a team of five engineers.I designed a customer tracking database to improve client management. I also managed the office and operations as well as working on the front lines of providing customer support.I helped design a strategy to restructure the company away from home user support to a greater focus on small and medium sized businesses. I provided online and telephone customer support to users in hospitals throughout the UK. I diagnosed and solved end user problems and fixed software issues. I programmed in Mumps and SQL, and the software solution ran on VAX and Unix servers.

Assisted Quantity Surveyors in preparing technical publications, including computerization of the publication process creating a large savings in cost and time.Co-ordinated IT in the office, including the initial roll-out of LAN/WAN capability in 1995.
