Hello, I’m Peter. I’m a former hydrographic surveyor, Chairman of my own international business and now a coach. After a few too many close calls – from being chased by the coast guard of Equatorial Guinea to freezing in the ice floes off northern Russia, not to mention Christmases spent away from family and friends – I headed back to dry land and in 2013, set up Precise Consultants. We’re a hydrographic recruitment agency matching great talent with great clients in the renewable and oil and gas sectors. What was once two men in a (figurative) boat, became a (real) global operation, with offices in London and in Singapore. I’m Chairman at Precise now, which allows me to mix those leadership responsibilities with the beginnings of a new adventure as a coach. Through Peter Thompson Coaching, I help people and small businesses who find themselves at a fork in the road on their journey to success. All the bruising lessons learned and hard yards stomped in my winding journey are crunched up and put to use in my coaching practice. We dig deep into the work they do, face down challenges and get to a place where people leave sessions thinking: “Now I know what I need to do”.
