Technology moves at a fast pace and the internet is at the core of the digital era. Websites used to be an optional expense and was only supplementary to a company's brand. Today a strong web presence has become an essential element to a company's success. As a company, Mice and Pen Inc. is always aware of these trends and we understand the importance of having a clean website with a friendly user interface. The philosophy is quite simple. Users want information and they want to find it fast and easy. In order to serve that need, it is very important for the administrative end that compiles this information to operate smoothly and be as flawless as possible. Most importantly the administrative end has to be just as user-friendly as the front end.

During the course my of time here I was promoted to lead developer in charge of our flagship products. My duties included handling the architectural design of our web applications, database schema planning, code refactoring for efficiency and optimization, managing deployments and release schedules. I reviewed code from the team that was checked into source control. I was in charge of monitoring multiple applications on our live servers.

Our team implemented PHP/MySQL in the development and maintenance of corporate websites, private administration tools, intranet systems and content management applications. I also gained a lot of experience in HTML email marketing and search engine optimization.

I was responsible for weekly website content updates, online advertisement designs, layout and templates.
