In my role as an Approach Concepts Expert I have supported the development, validation and deployment of a range of Approach concepts. My work has included:• Contributed to the development and validation of the Heathrow TBS final approach wind service;• Led the consolidation of the EUROCONTROL and NATS SESAR arrival concepts at the conclusion of SESAR-1;• Supported development of the EUROCONTROL TBS specification;• Contributed to the development of an ATM masterplan for Gatwick Airport including analysis and modelling to support the selection of concepts and technologies;• Have a lead role in the deployment of the NATS Intelligent Approach tool in Schiphol and Toronto;• Extensive experience in use of data analytics, modelling and simulation as tools to make investment decisions for ANSPs and Airports;• Extensive experience in the use of Real Time Simulation to support the development and validation of concepts;• Using my knowledge to develop an ever-growing Analytics team at Think Research.

As a Lead Operational Analyst I support the project manager through leading analytical and simulation studies through the application of rigorous and expert analytical skills in order to provide key supporting evidence that actively assists in helping our customers make informed business decisions. Projects to date include:Time Based Separation (TBS) Implementation at London Heathrow - Contributed to the development of a wind forecasting tool for the final approach of Heathrow to enable the implementation of TBS.Qatar Airspace and Design Implementation (QADI) - Following completion of the validation of ground and airspace procedures and routes for a new airport development in the Middle East this experience was then used to develop a comprehensive simulator training programme. Role was to work with ATC training experts to design and build a series of progressive training exercises to meet required objectives.SESAR P07.05.03 (User Preferred Routing) - The user preferred routing concept aims to improve efficiency and predictability by allowing airspace users to flight plan preferred routes that are not restricted to the route network. Role within project was to analyse results from a live trial conducted in Northern European airspace.RECALL Analysis and Visualisation suite - An internal project to develop a tool to enable efficient and effective analysis and visualisation of operational or simulation data.

As an Operational/Technical Analyst I support analytical and simulation studies through the application of rigorous and expert analytical skills in order to provide key supporting evidence that actively assists in helping our customers make informed business decisions. Projects to date include:Qatar Airspace and Design Implementation (QADI) - A project developing and validating ground and airspace routes and procedures for a new airport development in the Middle East. Role within the project was to provide simulation support in order to gather evidence to say if proposed concepts are fit for purpose.SESAR P05.06.01 (i4D) - The Initial 4D concept investigates procedures and tools taking advantage of ground system support and airborne capabilities to improve arrival sequencing using CTAs. Role involved supporting the conversion of data collected from the simulation platform followed by thorough analysis to assess implementation of the i4D concept within a current ATM environment.RECALL Analysis and Visualisation suite - An internal project to develop a tool to enable efficient and effective analysis and visualisation of operational or simulation data.
