My role at Dyson is to assist in the development of compact ceramic heaters using screen printed conductive inks and LTCC ceramic tape technology. I am responsible for running our screen printing lab where experimental prototypes are produced in the green state, ready for sintering.

With the acquisition of Gwent Electronic Materials, I WAS involved in the transfer of GEM's Labs and products to Midsomer Norton. I have over twenty years’ experience in research and development of thick film conductive inks, polymeric conductors, MLC capacitor materials, and photovoltaic materials. I am experienced in colloidal dispersion with the operation of triple roll mills and high speed mixers. Analytical testing included microscopy, optical and digital, TGA, DTA and TMA testing. Viscosity testing included the use of Brookfields, Bohlin, Haake and other rheology testing equipment. I also have experience of working in a cleanroom. Electroplating MLC terminations. I have also experience in using a laser for ablation, scribing and cutting. I'm proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. I have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in SAPMy six sigma project reduced the consumption of photovoltaic wafers in lab testing which resulted in a large cost saving for our R&D effort.
