The role was previously known as Account Delivery Manager which was recently changed to On Site Delivery Manager.Based in Doncaster, but working on the customers depots at Edinburgh (Craigentinny), London (Bounds Green) and also with Virgin Trains East Coast contractors Wabtec. In addition to East Coast I have also work on Abellio's site at Ilford, East Midlands Trains at Nottingham and Derby and South West Trains at Wimbledon. Responsible for the delivery of the account and the “On Site” customer interface, resolving various and wide ranging issues in a professional manner to maintain the customers service delivery by liaising with the various teams in Doncaster to co-ordinate the delivery of materials. Also responsible for issuing and resolving issues with missing and damaged claims, warranty items, obsolescence, and identification of parts on the Class 91, DVT, Mk4, Mk3 and HST’s, 317, 321 vehicles by liaising with the depot Technicians, vehicle owners (ROSCO), the relevant Materials / logistics Managers to confirm the requirements and gaining additional orders to meet and exceed the targets set.

Based in Birmingham. Responsible for the management of the Virgin West Coast Fleet Change Management system. Also responsible for; the management and co-ordination of the modification test, evaluation regime and vehicle certification. Primarily concerned with engineering and operational modification and changes relating to class 390 Pendolino trains, Class 57 Diesel Locomotives and Mk 3 coaching stock in accordance with “ROGS”. This includes liasing with the “ROSCO’s” of the various rolling stock and the maintenance contractors (Alstom) to gain their approvals.

Based in Birmingham working in the Major Contracts TeamBut working on the customers site at Asfordby (Old Dalby), responsible for the acceptance of new 140 Mph, 25Kv Class 390 Pendolino Tilting Trains for the West Coast Main Line. Detailed involvement included; the management of the commissioning, acceptance inspection and delivery of the trains at the Asfordby test track, to the contractual delivery timescales. Control of suppliers to ensure that continuous improvement of standards were delivered and maintained to the levels required by Virgin Trains and the asset owner, Angel Trains. Management of the acceptance delivery documents to contractual compliance.

Based in Wakefield, accountable for the Management of production first off's, collating Bills of Materials from drawings, Compilation of work instructions, Procedures & sketches Investigating and solving problems Methodology, Tooling and Special Tooling, Estimating labour hours, Inputting data onto MRP system, Liaising with internal/ external suppliers, Designing and drawing Jigs and tools for the production line, using the Autocad drawing package. Involved with London Underground 750v DC “73” Stock EMUs and Virgin Voyager Class 220/221 DMUs.Later Based at Crofton commissioning site as Logistics Controller ensuring that all materials required were delivered to complete the vehicles prior to acceptance by Virgintrains.

Based in Doncaster, Initially as a Vehicle Builder, followed by various temporary higher grade duties including Section Manager, responsible to the Production Manager. Supervisory in charge of a team of skilled and semi-skilled workshop staff. Involved in the Building, re-furbishment, maintenance and repair of a wide range of Railway Vehicles including LUL “C” and “73” Stock EMUs, Freight vehicles and Diesel Electric Locomotives. Also as a Quality Control Inspector concerned with in-process, stage and handover inspection.

Based in Doncaster, Initially as an Apprentice Vehicle Builder, followed by various temporary higher grade duties on completion of apprenticeship, including Production Chargehand and Team Leader. Involved in the Building, re-furbishment, maintenance and repair of a wide range of Railway Vehicles.
