Head of overall investment activity across the £380m Funds under management within the FW Group. Over a period of 8 years successfully raised the rate of investment at FW Group from £6m in 2003/04 to £48m in 2013/14, expanding the Group operations across the wider UK by winning new external fund management contracts in the North East and North West as well as further contracts in Wales.

Joined Fortis to help develop their UK mid market presence in Acquisition Finance and to head up their 5 regional teams across the UK. Developed their presence in mezzanine transactions and led several high profile deals. Also worked with the Global Head of Acquisition Finance in Rotterdam to build their presence in Germany, with a view to creating a full European mid-market acquisition finance coverage.

Led the development of this new unit to develop NatWest's acquisition finance presence in the SME marketplace. Developed and led a range of new equity and mezzanine funds including the NatWest Mezzanine Fund, the NatWest Development Capital Fund and the NatWest IT Fund. These became market leading funds. The unit comprised some 70 FTEs across 6 offices including a presence in Scotland.
