Represented plaintiffs in a variety of matters, including securities class actions, consumer class actions, and Fair Labor Standards Act collective actions. Also represented whistleblowers in Federal False Claims Act litigation. Highlights include: identifying legal flaws in LLC agreement resulting in $20 MM settlement with oil & gas holding company surrounding merger of LLC back into parent company (Altas Energy Resources, LLC Unitholder Litigation, Del. Ch.); representing investors against the directors and officers of a failed telecom company for breaches of fiduciary duty in Rahl v. Flag Telecom, Inc., S.D.N.Y; representing public pension funds in opt-out securities litigation against the officers and directors of Enron; representing former employees of a failed health system in order to secure promised interests in pension benefits (Burstein v. Allegheny Health System, E.D. PA); and representing a class of former customers against a major cable television provider in Baldasarri v. Suburban Cable TV Co. (Comcast Corporation); also litigating in the Delaware Court of Chancery in shareholder derivative and corporate governance cases such as CALPERS v. Coulter et al., and Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon Inc, and Altas Energy Resources, LLC Unitholder Litigation.

As a result of experience in the securities industry as a summer intern, was recruited for new niche group to drive all phases of federal and state litigation, NASD & NYSE (now FINRA) arbitrations and regulatory matters involving securities and employment disputes. This included injunctive relief proceedings, federal and state securities commission investigations and mediations. Highlights include: winning dismissal of $100K in claims brought against securities broker and broker dealer clients for alleged unsuitability of investments and improper mutual fund switching before a National Association of Securities Dealers arbitration panel resulting in NASD records being expunged and settling $3.5MM in claims for $600K in case for a high producing broker where customer alleged broker “churned” the elderly client’s securities accounts.

Provided assistance to the Honorable Alan M. Black in rendering proper rulings by conducting legal research, drafting of opinions, orders and memorandum for criminal and civil matters.
