I will soon be starting a M.S. in Applied Biomedical Engineering at John's Hopkins' Whiting School of Engineering, as I strive to expand my skills and knowledge as a biomedical engineer to contribute to the medical device industry. I have 3 years of experience as a research associate in the biotechnology industry. I worked at a diagnostics company where I aided in the research and development of a diagnostic device to isolate and concentrate bacteria from whole blood and positive blood culture samples. These bacteria samples were then analyzed by methods such as FTIR and AST. I also have experience with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), ImageJ, bacterial cell cultures, and other laboratory skills.
