Strategic Government Relations between Denmark and India within Renewable Energy

• Intelligence report and analysis on significant economic developments Various reports and briefs have been used by our management:Recently, in conjunction with the preparation to the Malaysian Trade Minister’s bilateral meeting with his Swedish counterpart minister, and meeting with Norwegian MNC at a breakfast meeting at the ambassador’s residence. As a consequence, I was requested to participate in the Sweden Southeast Asia Business Summit 2018.As part of the promotional work attracting FDI into Malaysia, I have organized various business events. Most recently in conjunction with the ASEAN 50th anniversary in Stockholm World Trade Center and a follow-up business seminar at Stockholm Sheraton focusing on Industry 4.0. In order to attract relevant company participation, I managed to engage Business Sweden’s Vice-President based in Shanghai responsible for Asia Pacific and for both events to secure the Swedish MFA’s responsible for the New Export Strategy to be our moderator.

• Attracting FDI, promotion and network • Organization and coordination of minister visits and business seminars Results: Achieved the KPI for attracting FDI and Regional Headquarters to Malaysia.FDI, Strategic approach:- Each industry has systematically been approached from an ecosystem perspective.- In each Nordic country, a close cooperation has been pursued with the respective agencies or structure dealing with the further internationalization of the industry.Illustration of concrete results:Through networking and cooperation with the Danish MFA, the Danish Industry Confederation (DI) and management of Arla Foods, I have contributed to Danish ministers and delegations choosing to visit and meet strategic stakeholders in Malaysia. Consequently, Arla Foods has located its regional headquarter in KL.I implemented a structure enabling our local organization to focus on government priorities and the strategy of attracting high-tech investments which strengthen the Malaysian economy’s global competitiveness and enables Malaysia to climb up the economic value chain.

Preparation of The Strategic Company Plan, follow-up on weekly management meetings, Synchronizing the strategic work with the budget procedure. New public management implementation and transformation to create a customer oriented organization.

Implementation of the public sector efficiency reform “Customer in focus – one entrance to the public sector”. Being on the reform programme team, optimising the relations between the municipal labour market and the industrial sector. As the Secretary to the Board of Directors, responsible for the up dates to the management on the implementation of the customer reform. Solid platform for decision-making, aiding the management to take action. Further, creation of the regional job centre through networking.

Part of the team that prepared and formulated the summit focusing on the relation between the Muslim and the Western World. Coordination and implementation of the VIP arrangement. Presentation of management, conduction of meeting. VIP meetings e.g. between the Iraqi Government and represents from the American industrial society.

Foreign Trade Coordinator: Veterinary Agreement between Greenland and the EU. Formulation of the decision framework for the Greenland Government in order to include Greenland in the EU Veterinary Regime. Simplification of the administration for the export industries. Coordination and adjustment of legislation and substitutions compatible with WTO-rules. Secretariat for the Greenland EU negotiations: Coordination with EU bodies and support to the Greenlandic delegation for fishery and partnership negotiations with the EU.Protocol function, official visits and Premiers journeys abroad.
