Duties undertaken included the following;• Providing administrative, tactical and functional support to the University’s Purchase Card (PCard) program (a credit card specific to University departmental spending)• Processing new applications - reviewing and verifying information, determining eligibility against established criteria, setting up in the system and following up to obtain additional information • Providing on-going customer service to cardholders - responding to all enquiries and acting as intermediary between the University and the sponsoring bank (Scotiabank)• Investigating, resolving and troubleshooting problems and issues related to the PCard program• Coordinating PCard related training programs - sending out training communication to new PCard holders, assisting with the training manual and conducting training sessions• Conducting audits of the PCard program to ensure the University’s policies, guidelines and financial objectives were being met.

Duties undertaken included the following:• The controlling of daily margin calls to and from other international counter parties• Settling all trades (options, swaps, basis swaps, flex/formula deals) associated with oil, coal, freight and agriculture • Organizing and confirming all monthly commodity prices within the above spectrum of commodities• Early settling positions with other counter parties – forming detailed spreadsheets, calculating the appropriate discount factors and using internal systems to correctly settle the selected trades• Project management – moving all clients onto new reporting systems, clearing breaks across internal entities, identifying potential risks and improving internal processes• Working with IT to enhance the functionality of internal systems• Working with financial controllers and traders on a daily basis to adjust profit and loss imbalances, finalize trades effectively and resolve any outstanding issues• Train other members / new members of the team as well as engage in continuous on-site training myself.
