I headed the day-to-day boat rental operations at the Community Boating Center in Bellingham. My responsibilities included maintaining QuickBooks sales receipts, invoices and payment receipts; receiving boat rental patrons, boating students and moorage renters; and updating class and reservation schedules. I also educated the community about boating and water safety, as well as performed on-the-water rescues for boaters in danger or in need of help.

I served as a leader, mentor and friend to kids in the sailing community by organizing a fun, safe and stimulating learning environment. Created and maintained a weekly class curriculum adaptable to any weather forecast and/or age group.

I worked summers assisting in teaching sailing to youth aged 8-15. Operated chase boat to ensure the safety of student sailors. Maintained boats, classroom and dock space by repairing and cleaning where needed.
