From early days in the music industry, looking after artists and sound engineering on tours and in the studio, I have been involved in one creative field or another: photography, video production, audio recording, writing for print and film, etc.A second career in work-related learning entailed the design and development of learning programmes for students, adult trainers and managers as well as working at strategic levels in the design of apprenticeship programmes and work-related qualification including oversight with regulatory environments. Since the "digital revolution" I have been pushing at the boundaries in combining media and demonstrating their application in the field of work-related education and training, collaborative working and networked learning. Suffolk 'n' Cool, my independent music podcast ran from 2006 to 2014 and remains a manifestation of my interest in developing and encouraging independent music. This time around I was also involved in helping musicians learn about how they can build and sustain successful careers in a very new music industry.My term of office as Deputy-Chair of Fellowship Council at the Royal Society for the encouragement of the Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (The RSA) ended in December 2020. For five years I helped represent and co-ordinate activity for around 30k Fellows worldwide.
