I am working with the RNOH to determine whether artificial joints have worked loose (subsided), by examining post-operative x-rays with a machine learning system. At present, this can only be confirmed in the more severe cases or by taking the patient into surgery and examining the hip directly.

My current role is to run major research and development projects for customers in F1, other motorsport formulas and for high end road cars. With a team of skilled engineers, we develop new products to bring to market and respond to customer requests for the products that they want to see developed. I love managing a committed and enthusiastic team, meeting with customers to ensure that what we make is what they require, and delivering projects on time that exceed customer expectations. I have been able to get to grips with machine learning, using neural networks to analyse real world problems, and I am constantly learning and applying new skills in this exciting field.

From 2007-2012, I set up and ran a charitable company, Camden Town Church. This has involved:• recruiting and leading a team of staff and volunteers• managing the finance and budgets • planning and organising high quality weekly services and one-off events• ensuring compliance with legal standards for companies and charities• communications formal and informal, with people from every demographic• raising funds, from £50-100k per year and maintaining relationships with donorsDuring that time, I wrote a complete website, overseeing design and hand-coding a bespoke PHP backend.

As part of a small staff team, my roles included, pastoring, teaching, management of volunteers, and programming the church website. While the senior pastor was on sabbatical, I had overall responsibility for running the staff team.

The work was extremely varied, with projects ranging from space probes and nuclear power, to clothes lockers. Main roles were• Working alongside clients to understand design requirements• Designing prototypes particularly for the defence, nuclear power industries• Managing a team of experienced technicians in a nuclear power testing programme• IT specialist in 3D Internet applications (VRML) and MS Access databases

in a school for street children in Paraguay, where no English was spoken, teaching maths, music and elementary Spanish. Also teaching English to Paraguayans in the evenings.
