My superpower is building, growing and “fixing” companies - specifically consumer goods, eCommerce, wine companies and wineries. It began in Europe at Procter & Gamble (1987-1995) and expanded into the wine world when I was recruited by LVMH in 1997-2002 to address their underperforming US winery & vineyard operations and brands. I have been on this path for 25 years and I love it. Or to quote Bill Foley in the Wine Spectator June 21, 2012; "If anyone can make it work, [CEO] Peter Ekman can".A big challenge and success was to re-build WINE.COM when it was virtually dormant after their famous Chapter 11 in May 2001. Then by combining the intellectual property from WINE.COM with eVineyards.com in 2002, I opened new doors in San Francisco with instant success.“I hired Peter to be the CEO of Wine.com through its turnaround and he did an excellent job.
