Although a Los Angeles, CA native, I am currently a 3rd year medical student at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Otolaryngology originally piqued my interest as a rare subspecialty that allows for significant participation in both outpatient and surgical medicine. After working with incredible faculty at my university, I began developing specific interests in HPV-associated oral cavity and nasopharyngeal cancers, facial reconstruction, and neuroendocrine tumors. Outside of medicine, I enjoy my time helping people read as a recreational voice over actor, watching my world champion Los Angeles Lakers dominate the NBA, and experimenting with home grown ingredients as an amateur cook and gardener.

These tasks included organizing and following up with work orders, properly handling lockouts, delivering and sorting mail, as well as any other general duties needed to ensure student satisfaction. Student supervisors worked directly underneath the area wide directors and would often provide the USC Department of Housing details on how well their implemented amenities and programs were being received. -

Undergraduate ResearcherUniversity Of Southern California Sep 2010 - Nov 2012Usc Nuzdhin Microbiology And Population Genetics LaboratoryAs a student researcher at the Nuzhdin laboratory I worked with 2 faculty members and several doctoral students using state of the art technology to sequence and analyze genetic data from fruit flies and planaria. I was trained in the use of PCR and Nanodrop technologies, as well as, DNA/RNA extraction and library upkeep. While working at the Nuzhdin laboratory I received 3 grants ($1000, $1000, and $3000, respectively) to pursue independent research. My most notable work was titled "Neoplastic Regeneration in Planaria" where we studied the planaria's unique ability to regenerate injured tissue, which came from infecting them with a cadmium based carcinogen.
