Founded private tutoring business after graduation. Personally managed and instructed over 50 different clients ranging in age from 4th grade to college undergraduate students. Clients are obtained via a personal recommendation networking system based off rapport and results. I have tutored in every major non-graduate standardized exam (ISEE, ACT, SAT, etc.), as well as, college level courses like biology, calculus, and chemistry. Fees were earned based on a “pay what you can” model in order to maximize availability to underserved and underprivileged students in Los Angeles County.

Usc Pardee Tower

Supervised the daily workings of the "South Side" USC dormitory complex that included 4 buildings and over 1000 students. The Pardee Tower customer service desk was responsible for handling all maintenance and upkeep issues associated with the first year students living in the dorms. These tasks included organizing and following up with work orders, properly handling lockouts, delivering and sorting mail, as well as any other general duties needed to ensure student satisfaction. Student supervisors worked directly underneath the area wide directors and would often provide the USC Department of Housing details on how well their implemented amenities and programs were being received.

Usc Leadership Floor

Overlooked a floor of 86 first-year students while living with them in the dormitory and making myself as available as possible. As their RA I was responsible for maintaining a safe, healthy environment in the dorm. I put on monthly programs for the students that encouraged them to explore their new collegiate environment while taking advantage of all the opportunities their new university has to offer. All programs were funded based on presentations I gave to various funding bodies.

Usc Nuzdhin Microbiology And Population Genetics Laboratory

As a student researcher at the Nuzhdin laboratory I worked with 2 faculty members and several doctoral students using state of the art technology to sequence and analyze genetic data from fruit flies and planaria. I was trained in the use of PCR and Nanodrop technologies, as well as, DNA/RNA extraction and library upkeep. While working at the Nuzhdin laboratory I received 3 grants ($1000, $1000, and $3000, respectively) to pursue independent research. My most notable work was titled "Neoplastic Regeneration in Planaria" where we studied the planaria's unique ability to regenerate injured tissue, which came from infecting them with a cadmium based carcinogen.

Helped found USC’s first and only pre-health newspaper as the organization’s PR and Marketing Manager. The newspaper started production at ~200 copies and is now printing thousands of copes twice a semester at USC.
