Helping the excellent team at Sutcliffe & Co become even more effective and efficient by taking the lead in the administration and organisation of the office systems so enabling our team to further extend the high service levels which we already offer our clients.Adding an additional level of technology knowledge and understanding to the Sutcliffe and Co business I have increasingly become involved in the evolving world of Cyber Risk within the insurance industry.Having a foot in both the IT and Insurance industry camps affords me a relatively unique insight into the Cyber Risks facing businesses. With my background of advising and working closely with many SME’s I am now working towards helping our clients (existing and potential) better understand the threats posed from cyber-attacks on their business, gaining a level of assurance that they are prepared for such an attack and ultimately ensuring that they are insured against the consequences should a Cyber Risk pose a threat to the business.

Reporting directly to the owners of the business, taking sole responsibility for driving and implementing change to take advantage of technological advances. Playing a key part in the promotion of the business to existing and potential clients including speaking at seminars on varied technology related topics.Also incorporating the HR and Facilities roles. The role of HR Manager giving responsibility for day to day HR matters, recruitment, disciplinary matters and appraisals along with the documenting of all business processes. The role of Facilities Manager taking overall responsibility for the day to day running of the fabric of the offices including responsibility for ensuring the offices were fully functioning at all time and fit for purpose.

Worked my way up from tea boy to being responsible for installation and support of the many varied clients IT systems.

When faced with a choice of doing the University thing or earning some money, the money won. I joined WPA as an installation engineer and did everything from changing light bulbs to driving the boss! I ended up writting database applications for local Goverment (Poll Tax anyone!) and installing office networks.
