Lead Hard Surface Artist

My role also oversees part of our outsourcing and external partners and supporting that effort with art guidance and style guides like asset tier systems, archetypes, concept templates, and weapon / accessory posters.Within the team my support has been to help out with ideation, concepts/paint overs, feedback and motivate artists to succeed with challenging tasks. I handle bi-weekly 1 on 1’s and yearly reviews for the team. I make sure they have a good work/life balance and trying to help out when needed. In addition I triage tasks and bugs, so the right person handles the task that fits their skills to keep the morale high. I’ll do daily risk management and planning together with producers. Setting up workshops and presentations within the discipline to widely spread knowledge.Other tasks have been morale events, team syncs, hiring, conflict handling, postmortems, job descriptions, vacation planning.
