I have written and directed a documentary film short "See You At The Bar: The Casa Loma Story" now showing in film festivals.I have a background in art and design and currently hold position of Design Director for Mockingbird Improv in San Diego. I have worked with art department teams doing period research, sourcing props, designing printed materials such as signage, newspapers and book covers, shopping and returns, and dressing sets. I also have experience post-supervising and have worked well with clients, editors, sound designers and colorists. Finally, I have also successfully managed fundraising efforts for independent films and nonprofit theater, managed crowdfunding campaigns- surpassing goals and have experience applying for grants, filling out applications and writing grant proposals. Filing systems replaced piles of paper, a list of things to buy each week for snacks, consistent use of calendars for meetings, and finally moving the entire operation to a larger space in Oakland where we have room to shoot videos in-house. Daily work included scheduling, coding invoices, banking procedures, taking care of any and all needs of the editor, CEO and creative director. Also: event planning, decor, managing interns, managing vendor relationships, fomenting a fun office culture. Helped hire, train and support a new studio manager for the company before moving over onto the production side. Show less -

Producing events and building an AV center and video editing room were things I loved doing. Travel coordination, particularly for CEO, Maria Giudice grew in complexity and quantity of trips each year. My role as the all-knowing, hard-working, jack-of-all-trades became more focused as a company culture-maven. I got to direct projects and make decisions that made Maria's life easier, brought employees together and kept things fun. Leading games, getting people to try improvisational exercises, encouraging odd-ball events like "spaghetti taco day", shooting and sharing video as well as writing the end-of-year presentation were particularly fun efforts and resulted in group happiness.
