I purchased Logistica as a semi-dormant company in 2017 with the intention of expanding and selling the business. I was responsible for the commercial development of the business and establishing systems, processes and controls to ensure adherence to customer and governmental requirements. Additionally, and in conjunction with MD, I helped to build: the organisational structure and HR sysytems, the financial reporting framework and KPI’s and business development strategy.Key achievements include: ◼️ Logistica became a leading provider of health and social care training with a T/O of in excess of £3M.◼️ Successfully led the business through a sales process with MBH PLC.

BlackRock Training is a provider of CMI accredited leadership and management programmes. I started this business on the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy scheme to deliver leadership and management programmes. Having started the business, I secured approved centre status with the Chartered Management Institute and approved training provider status with the Education and Skills funding agency.Key achievements include: ◼️ Successfully built business from start up to established provider, ultimately selling it in 2019.

System Training (ST) is a specialist provider of training courses to the logistics and related sectors. I was appointed by Bridgewater Human Capitol as Managing Director with overall responsibility for the growth, development and repositioning of the business. Following a thorough business review, I designed, developed and delivered a business transformation plan which aligned operational capabilities with commercial vision. Key achievements include: ◼️ Completed restructure and turnaround of ST within 12 months, moving from loss making position to c.£2M profit.◼️ Successfully expanded contracts with commercial customers from c.25 to c.50 facilitating a doubling of turnover.◼️ Awarded ‘One to Watch’ Status on Sunday Times best companies to work for.

Avanta was a government funded training and employability provider which was responsible for placing unemployed job seekers into work. As Managing Director, I was responsible for driving the growth of the business, capturing market share and diversifying its offering in what was a highly competitive sector. I developed the businesses 3 year commercial plan, implementing rigorous KPI’s and led the continuous improvement of the financial control systems.Key achievements include: ◼️ Led the business to consecutive years of growth, increasing market share to become the 3rd largest provider of welfare to work services, and increasing turnover from £35M in 2009 to over £70M in 2014.◼️ Led the successful diversification of the business which operated as an employment services, vocational services and business support services company across the UK and Saudi Arabia.◼️ Led the sale of the business to AIM listed Staffline Plc.
