I have experience spanning a wide range of areas in academia, industry, and open source settings. Software I've built parts or all of include operating systems, compilers, virtual machines, web browsers, word processors, websites (both frontend & backend), mobile apps, web search engines, and peer-to-peer networks. I have also worked as a lecturer at Adelaide University teaching courses ranging from first year to masters level.With a strong grasp of the fundamentals, I approach software development in a manner that emphasises concepts over code. Specific tools and frameworks come and go all the time; rather than placing importance on knowing all the details of each, I am flexible and experienced enough to pick up new languages and technologies quickly as needed for a given project.
