As a loan originator one of my primary goals has been to help Minnesota first time home buyers through the often complex maze of buying a home. In my experience with this company I originated many different times of loans including FHA, VA, USDA, and conventional loans. I also worked with the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency (MHFA) and originated loans that included down payment assistance to Minnesota first time home buyers.These programs are designed to help buyers who qualify in every way but perhaps are lacking in one way such as down payment. Through extensive discussions with my clients I help them decide which (if any) of the many down payment assistance programs may be right for them. Choosing can be difficult. I like to take whatever time is necessary with my clients to help them understand what may or may not be possible with regards to state and national programs.Programs such as FHA, VA, and USDA are insured or guaranteed through the U.S. government. While in many cases these may be the most appropriate loan for a customer to choose, often times other programs such as conventional financing, Home Possible, My Community, or Homepath loans may be the best option.Over the years I have helped many first time home buyers in Minnesota achieve their goal of the American Dream of homeownership.

I originated home loans while managing a district of home loan originators in Richfield, Minnesota.

Most of my career with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage was in Winona, MN in southeastern Minnesota. I specialized in originating FHA loans and focused on Minnesota first time home buyers. At this lender I worked extensively with FHA financing and even had the opportunity to work on an advisory committee to help FHA become an easier process for the first time home buyer.Beginning in 1993 I managed office locations in Winona, La Crosse, and Eau Claire. I eventually became an Area Manager in January of 2005. Throughout my tenure I worked extensively with all types of financing including conventional loans, FHA, VA, and USDA mortgage loans. I specialized in working with Minnesota First Time Home Buyers and conducted seminars not only for the public but for company representatives as well.The first time home buyer in Minnesota has unique needs. Perhaps most importantly they need help gaining a thorough understanding of the home buying process in addition to simply getting a loan.
