Air Movements Administrator
Working nights for 17 weeks, I was employed as the arrivals administrator in Qatar, responsible for processing all personnel correctly upon arrival at the airfield. I gave comprehensive briefs for up to 150 personnel at a time along with the Air Transport Liaison Team. This helped personnel to find their onward flights or with booking temporary accommodation on base if their flights were the next day or beyond. My control of the OPLOC (Operational Location) database was vital to ensure the UK had an accurate idea of how many people were on base at any one time.

As part of the Briefing and Co-ordination team, we were responsible for preparing written and powerpoint briefs for the starred officers at Strike Command and visitors, including foreign military units. My main presentation tasks were to ensure it was up to date with the latest information on Aircraft, Weapons and location data. I additionally used Photoshop to create images that made the presentations more asthetically pleasing. I was also responsible for all our conference rooms and the IT equipment in them. Finally, I collated the information required for the Air Force Board Standing Committee meetings and was responsible for all our secret documents and magnetic media.

My first job in the RAF was working in a Logistics Registry looking after roughly 600 files for the section. I also assisted with looking after Magnetic Media and data.
