An alumnus of Reading High School, Peter Marfione was a high school hockey player who went on to play for NCAA Division-III team at Salve Regina University. Playing as a defenseman, Peter Marfione served for two years as the team's captain. While enrolled at the school, he worked in the summer as a security guard for concerts at the Fleet Center on behalf of Security Systems Incorporated and, upon graduating with a bachelor's degree in business administration, began working as a substitute teacher with Wakefield Public Schools.Peter Marfione later served as a special education tutor with the Concord-Carlisle School District. Since 2007, he has worked as a full-time teacher for North Andover Public Schools. In addition to teaching business management and honors marketing courses, he serves as a varsity hockey coach and site supervisor for the boys' soccer team. Mr. Marfione also has previous coaching experience as the hockey coach at Bedford High School. During his time at Bedford, he twice received the MVC-DCL Coach of the Year award.
