•Part of the operations team, responsible for the economical and safe operations of the power generation plant. Directly reporting to the Control Room Engineer and under the Shift Head/ Deputy Shift Head•Areas of responsibility include the Boiler, Steam Turbine Generator, Standby Generator set(EDG) and all other auxiliaries.•In charge of on-site inspection, local monitoring of equipment conditions and critical plant parameters on the field, minor maintenance work, give start/shut-down clearance for major equipment, perform troubleshooting, de-energization of systems prior to maintenance work, and conducting LOTO for equipment and out of service systems or under maintenance systems.

• Making and updating of training materials as needed in the trainings of newly hired Power Plant Operators.• Making and updating of Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Procedures to maintain a safe, reliable and stable operations of the plant.• Providing predictive and preventive maintenance to all plant equipment’s.• Responsible for the tagging’s of all plant equipment’s.• Preparing of Purchase Order as requested by maintenance.• Interact closely with Power Plant personnel especially with Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation & Control for daily activities coordination.• Implement all necessary Environmental, Health and Safety Measures for safe operation and maintenance activities at the power plant.• Performs other related tasks assigned from time to time.• Reliever to Shift Supervisor or Control Room Operator when necessary.• Oversees the performance of subordinates to ensure that all plant equipment and electrical apparatus are properly operated, monitored and maintained according to standard operating procedures.• Ensure proper implementation of plant Permit-To-Work (PTW) system for all plant maintenance activities to provide safety for all working personnel.• Schedules and coordinates with Maintenance Department on the schedule preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment to ensure reliability and optimum performance at all times.• Perform synchronization of the unit, high/low voltage switching and equipment change over accordingly and in safe manner.• Operate, monitor and control plant parameters of boilers, turbine-generator, and auxiliary equipment from the Control Room following equipment operating procedures thru DCS (Distributed Control System) for plants startup, normal operation and shutdown in order to meet Company’s objectives and targets.

• Operate, inspects, monitors, records, and evaluates the physical condition of the Boiler, Turbine- generator and related auxiliaries and accessories in the field.• Used critical thinking to break down problems, evaluate solutions and make decisions.• Monitored operations to spot and report on issues for quick resolution.• Assisted during the commissioning of the plant.• Observe equipment in operation, system activities and control readouts on continuous basis.• Performs isolation and de-isolation of mechanical equipment and low voltage apparatus in ensuring equipment is safe for maintenance work and Permit-To-Work can be issued.

• Inspected and tested equipment, machinery and components to diagnose issues, recognize defects and determine appropriate repair• Conducts regular preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency. • Monitor lubrication schedule and ensure proper lubrication of all mechanical equipment are maintained at all times• Created spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel for daily, weekly and monthly reporting
