Greater San Diego Area
Served as Chief Executive Officer for Century Club of San Diego, the host organization for San Diego's PGA TOUR event at Torrey Pines. Along with a staff of 14 and nearly 60 volunteer members sold and promoted San Diego's major annual event. We came into an underperforming organization with a new title sponsor adding fresh metrics and expectations. For the first two years, we had robust and open conversations, discoveries and decisions with each of our key stakeholders, including our staff. We were able to rebuild a culture on mutual trust and respect, align our objectives thus paving the way for change and consensus building. We renewed the relationship with our title sponsor three times during an eight-year period and regained relevance in our market and on PGA TOUR. We rebuilt the business and organization with a focus on implementing and executing on sound business structure including strategic plan, effective financial reporting, performance metrics (i.e., Client Retention Rate = 98%, Guest Satisfaction = 99%), cost containment, evolving sales, marketing and product mix strategies driving top-line revenue, and actively recruit talent to support our business needs. Strengthened organizational governance and financial compliance improving our organization’s overall health to the strongest in its history. Our team was recognized by our peers with four PGA TOUR "Best of Awards" in our event’s history including Sales & Marketing, Best On-Site Staging, Salesperson of the Year, and Charity of the Year. Reason for leaving: We moved back home to Tampa area when our kids graduated from high school.
