Along with a staff of 14 and nearly 60 volunteer members sold and promoted San Diego's major annual event. We came into an underperforming organization with a new title sponsor adding fresh metrics and expectations. For the first two years, we had robust and open conversations, discoveries and decisions with each of our key stakeholders, including our staff. The world's leading junior golf organization providing exposure for juniors to college golf scholarships through competitive national junior golf championships. Many of the players on the major tours competed in AJGA championships including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas and Sergio Garcia to name a few. Many of the leaders in the industry, likewise competed in AJGA championships. We expanded to over 60 annual events. Responsibilities included developing a regional director department for site development, negotiate sponsor, host and venue relationships, identify and screen 50+ interns annually. The relationships developed with the players and their families have extended to my professional life. Some were able to able to earn PGA TOUR membership. After competing in college, others moved on to careers as player agents, organization, corporate sponsor or manufacturer executives. The PGA professionals of the Georgia Section service over 250 golf courses throughout the state. We conducted championships for its PGA members and amateurs, as well as, growth of the game initiatives throughout the year. My responsibilities included site selection and staging of championships at many of Georgia's top private clubs. The relationships with the professionals and staff at these facilities have, likewise been invaluable in my career.
