Executive Assistant To The Duputy Secretary For Conservation And Technical Services
CurrentConducts research and analyses into program issues, initiatives, operational problems, and other similar assignments related to recreational, conservation, geological and sustainability issues; compiles information, data and statistics; interviews program managers, program specialists and others to determine issues and solutions and formulates policies when necessary. Develops and presents reports of findings, conclusions, recommendations, and options, including identifying the advantages, disadvantages, and impacts that implementation would have on programs and the Department for consideration by management in the decision-making process. Presents the reports to the Deputy Secretary. Coordinates the implementation of approved recommended courses of action.Meet with program managers to discuss issues and problems of executive interest, prepares briefing and position papers and discusses options and recommendations with the Deputy Secretary and other members of Executive staff as needed.Participates in meetings with the Deputy Secretary and Bureau Directors to discuss the status of actions, activities, goals, objectives, and priorities; and coordinates the tracking of agreed upon actions resulting from these meetings and keeps the Deputy Secretary informed of major accomplishments, actions that are off schedule, and major issues that may arise and need resolution.Represents the Deputy Secretary at meetings, conferences, and workshops; briefs the Deputy on issues discussed and actions taken, and other pertinent information; and makes presentations at meetings conferences, and workshops as necessary.Work closely with the Deputy Secretary who conveys the mission and vision of the Deputate to formulate action plans in order to work toward developing plans and policies to achieve goals. Will work independently in day to day work with status meetings to ensure that projects and initiatives remain on task and align with established goals.
