Managing a team of 4 vessel planners responsible for the planning and execution of in average 45 port calls per week divided in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. This entails close coordination with container terminals, vessels, authorities and other stakeholders ensuring that the port operation and network of vessels is optimized in the most cost-efficient manner. This also includes responsibility for processes with the aim of increasing efficiency, competitiveness and profitability.

Responsible for global best practice sharing on the utilization of e-sourcing tools within transportation sourcings in Maersk. This included:- accountable for implementation of E-Procurement technologies such as Trade Extensions, SciQuest Advanced Sourcing Optimizer and the Ariba e-auction modules - coaching on tender strategy within transportation categories- overall responsible as Project Manager for E-Procurement related projects- project support on transportation related sourcing projects insuring best practice utilization of e-procurement tools.

In this position I took the project lead on complex sourcing projects 'with a spend range of 5-200 mUSD within the supply chain of ocean freight, water feedering, terminal, rail and trucking services. In addition to my daily responsibilities, I also facilitated and conducted in-house training courses on how to apply structured sourcing methods including the use of E-sourcing tools.Key responsibilities in this position included the same as mentioned under below mentioned Project Manager position.

In the role as Procurement Manager I have worked as project member on medium/large impact sourcing projects in various countries in Europe and Africa. Besides I have also taken the individual project lead on a number of sourcing projects. Key responsibilities in this position included:- Analyze internal data and contracts- Identify and analyze relevant supply base- Develop and recommend sourcing strategy- Execute the sourcing strategy including utilization of e-tools and face-to-face negations - Develop and arrange supplier workshops- Stakeholder Management - Project Management

In Rotterdam, I was, at that time in a newly formed operations cluster organization, responsible for all Maersk Line 3.party and own feeder products between main hub ports and +40 smaller ports spread out over Northern Europe. This also included managing a team of 15 members whose main objective was to secure seamless operations and most optimal utilization of available vessel capacity. When needed, the job also included proactive contingency planning of vessels in close cooperation with other functions in the organization Key responsibilities in this position included:- Setting up and coaching the team - Continuously improving the feeder product by striking the balance between product attractiveness and product cost optimization - Contract rate and SLA negotiations with feeder suppliers

In Gothenburg I became responsible Maersk Line’s container inland transports activities in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland, including managing a team of total 15 members. During my time in Gothenburg I took lead in developing a unique rail service in Sweden with 4 departures per week, directly connecting the customer’s factory with the Port of Gothenburg enabling direct connection with the Maersk Line’s main liner service. Still today this rail product is in place, continuously delivering high value to the customer. Key responsibilities in this position included:- Taking an active role in the Maersk Line Operations management team in Scandinavia- Managing day to day business including coaching and developing the team- Securing On Time Delivery of Maersk Line’s inland transport activities- Developing and optimizing Standard Operating Procedures- Contract rate and SLA negotiations with trucking and rail suppliers

Reporting to the area operations manager I was as team leader responsible for the daily planning and execution of all truck and rail activities in Denmark, Sweden and Norway including managing a team of 6 members.

Coordinator of inland container transports with truck and rail in Denmark and between Denmark and German ports. Hereunder being responsible for coordinating optimizing utilization of company owned rail shuttle between Taulov in Denmark and Hamburg.

Working as Customer Service Coordinator in the Copenhagen Export Department, coordinating the load and shipment of containers for mainly export customers ex Denmark, but also handling shipments for Danish customers out of various location in Europe.
