I am both proud and pleased to announce the commencement of trade of Edge Consulting Engineers in Australia and New Zealand. Whilst Australian in its DNA, the company has been operational for over a decade offshore. In our initial phase, we are offering Structural and Civil Engineering Services.With offices in Brisbane , Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Auckland, we are actively seeking to engage with new clients and reacquaint with old. As a provider of engineering services, our basic philosophy is to be easily accessable and easy to deal with. We have a strong track record of delivering the best outcome for the clients whether that be on a time and/or cost basis.Having observed the industry trends for the past 30 plus years, I have a personal mandate to avoid the "sweatshop " mentality that exists in our industry in current times. I believe that it vital to create an environment for our engineers so they have time to think and venture outside "the box"It is the responsibility of our leadership team to deliver the right mix of challenging and rewarding projects that allows the business and its staff to grow. This means providing a pleasant and enjoyable work environment whilst supporting career development. Our Global thinking and network of overseas offices compliments this.For example, we have recently been appointed as the reviewing consultant for some of the rebuild works on Vanuatu after the devastation of Cyclone Pam. We ourselves , in conjunction with Griffith University, are sponsoring a safe drinking water project to provide and install filtration systems to isolated communities in Cambodia.I look forward to an exciting (re) start to our Australasian operations.
