In January 2018 SWIFT Architects merged with Dunwoodie Architects to create a combined Practice with strength & experience in specialist acute, primary & mental healthcare as well as vast experience in commercial, retail, leisure, transport & residential sectors.In Summer 2011 I formed Swift Architects with a number of like minded people who had worked together sucessfully for up to 20 years on some of the most high profile and award winning architectural projects in the region.Our combined project experience includes primarily commercial, retail & leisure projects. Most specifically we have been responsible for St James'​ Gate (142 apartments & 100kftsq spec office building) & the Newgate Centre redevelopment, Newcastle, & Baltic Quays (60kftsq office & 200 bed hotel), Gateshead, for McAleer & Rushe; Belmont Business Park for HeliosBelmont; Metro Riverside Park, Gateshead; 2 No. Asda superstores in Swansea and Wrexham; 2 No. Safeway superstores in Taunton and Cambridge; Marks & Spencer Lifestore, Gateshead; Wynyard Business Park masterplanning and 60kftsq office development; Kids 1st private children's nursery, Hexham; Heathrow Express Rail Link (inc feasibility study into extension to T5); various other spec & bespoke office developments inc interior design; extension to Proctor & Gamble, Gosforth, Newcastle. Having worked together for so long and all possessing different but complimentary skills we are a natural fit in this new business. Our aims and ethos are very clear and understood by each of us as we have demonstrated over many years.
