  The bioinformatics department of Genetwister is involved in genomic data analyses that support breeding efforts. To provide a solid backbone for downstream data processing, we assemble high-quality reference genomes and transcriptomes that are supported by structural and functional annotation. This is often supplemented with studies of diversity such as variant discovery and inference of phylogenies. Moreover, we provide analyses geared towards specific questions such as quantitative transcriptomics, haplotyping and design of various genotyping platforms.
