De komende periode mag ik het team komen versterken om de zakelijke kant van de galerie en kunstuitleen verder te ontwikkelen.Beeldend Gesproken is anders dan alle andere kunstuitlenen en galeries. Wij hebben een uniek verhaal. Beeldend Gesproken is dé plek waar professionele kunstenaars met psychische gezondheidsproblemen een podium vinden om hun werk aan de man te brengen. Kunst speelt voor onze kunstenaars vaak een zeer belangrijke rol in het proces van herstellen uit mentale aandoeningen en later om hun geestelijke balans te behouden.Wij willen dat de kunst van onze kunstenaars de wereld in gaat en dat ze een volwaardige plek hebben in de samenleving. Bijna al onze kunstenaars hebben een kunstacademie of een andere kunstvakopleiding gevolgd. Enkelen zijn autodidact. Al onze kunstenaars werken autonoom en hebben een oeuvre opgebouwd met een eigen signatuur en zijn actief in hun vak.

Het doel van de stichting is het bewaren van digitale selecties uit de archieven van professionele fotografen ( www.1000fotos.org )en illustratoren (www.1000illustraties.org ). Selecties die het oeuvre van de maker goed representeren. Daarmee voorkomen we dat het werk ‘verdwijnt’ of niet meer te achterhalen is. Er is gekozen om de omvang van de selecties uit maximaal 1000 werken te laten bestaan. Daarmee wordt het geheel werkbaar en realiseerbaar gehouden. Zelfs met ‘maar’ 1000 werken is het al een enorme klus om de werken te digitaliseren, te beschrijven en de bijbehorende (korte) biografie te schrijven.Deze selecties van het werk van illustratoren en fotografen willen we bij elkaar brengen in een beeldbank en website en koppelen aan bestaande netwerken. Hiermee voorkomen we dat de naam van de maker en zijn of haar werk geheel verloren gaat en de werken die nog ergens in particuliere of bedrijfsarchieven boven water komen verweesd worden. Door een zeer brede verzameling illustraties en foto's ontstaat een digitaal archief dat historisch van groot belang kan worden. Een naslagwerk dat in de huidige infrastructuur een eigen aanvullende rol gaat spelen.1000 werken wil niet concurreren met de bestaande instituten en bureaus. We willen een aanvulling zijn op de bestaande infrastructuur. Zelfs voor makers waarvan het werk is opgenomen in een instituut kan het goed zijn om een selectie bij 1000 werken te plaatsen. We verwijzen namelijk altijd door naar het instituut waar het archief is opgenomen. 1000 foto’s en 1000 illustraties zijn niet concurrerend maar aanvullend!De maker blijft de rechthebbende, tenzij anders overeengekomen. Bij belangstelling voor reproductie van een werk zullen we doorverwijzen naar de, maker, erven of de agent.

Het doel van de stichting is het bevorderen van de sociale cohesie in de maatschappij door een brug te slaan tussen de verschillende culturen, denkwerelden, creatieve disciplines en platformen. Het bedenken, initiëren, produceren en uitwerken van visuele verhalenHet vertellen van verhalen vanuit nieuwe of andere invalshoeken en met behulp van innovatieve middelenHet zoveel mogelijk ondersteunen van projecten met educatieve middelen, enHet samenwerken met andere partijen die door hun activiteiten de doelstelling van de stichting (mede) ondersteunen.

In 2010 the ‘Gallery 37 Spaarnestad’ took the initiative for the 'foundation 37PK'. A platform for the arts in Haarlem, The Netherlands. Next to the presentation of particular interesting artprojects in the spaces of the Gallery (400 square meter) and presentations of local, national and international artists, the platform will be involved in the coordination of atelier spaces for artist, artist residence, assignments for artists and creative entrepreneurs, support and professionalization of artists and promotion of the arts.

DuPho gelooft in de kracht en waarde van beeld, verbindt, inspireert, adviseert en vertegenwoordigt fotografen op juridisch, zakelijk en creatief gebied.DuPho dedicates itself to improving the position of professional photographers in the commercial, social and cultural sphere. It actively focuses attention on their work and the profession nationally and internationally. DuPho is a modern organization, using a bottom up approach rather than top down.

ZAM Africa Magazine is an independent magazine for Arts, Culture and Politics in Africa.

Spaarnestad Photo is one of the most important photographic collections of the Netherlands. Founded in 1986, the collection was based on the photographic archives of the former Dutch magazine publisher Spaarnestad (now part of Sanoma). The collection has grown from 2 million images in 1986 to 12 million images in 2010. The topics are national as well as international, dating from 1860 untill 2003. Next to the the archive of the Spaarnestad, the Spaarnestad Photo collection containes archives form Hollandse Hoogte, ABC Press, Elsevier, Trouw/Parool, ANP-negatives, NFP/'t-Sticht and many others.In 2010 an agreement was signed with the Ducth National Archives (Nationaal Archief). The Nationaal Archief took over the care, conservation and control over the physical images and Spaarnestad Photo remained as partner for the commercial sales of copyrights and expertise on the archive

NCB Naturalis are digitizing millions of objects, documents en photos from their vast collections. A Digital Image Bank is needed to archive and show the digital files for research and education purposes and to share the collection with the general public.

Hollandse Hoogte is an innovative agency and always adapting new technologies and marketing strategies to service both clients and photographers on the highest possible level. As a front office manager I was responsible for the salesdesk and strategy.

ABC Press was a International Photopress Agency representing agencies and photographers like Sygma, Camera Press, Magnum Photos, Life, Sports Illustrated, Sebastiao Salgado etc. in the Netherlands.
