Peter focuses on the firm's discretionary value-add Fund series, where he manages equity investments in approximately 20,000 apartment units nationally. His responsibilities include developing and executing Fund strategy. This includes the evaluation, structuring, and execution of acquisitions and originations, oversight of asset management, refinancing, and dispositions of investments, general fund operations and management, and investor communications and relationship management.

Peter's responsibilities included analyzing, developing and executing repositioning strategies to stabilize acquisitions of distressed real estate across various sectors, including hospitality, office, residential, retail, flex, agriculture, structured products and CMBS control positions. His asset management responsibilities included the management of international teams of lenders, attorneys, accountants, consultants, and investment bankers to negotiate and execute both asset level financing and dispositions. He was additionally responsible for negotiating leases, condominium documents, project management oversight for capex, oversight of CMBS servicers and receivers, and JV relationship management. Peter conducted the underwriting, due diligence, and acquisition execution of distressed debt and CMBS control positions to take equity control of underlying collateral. He also performed ad-hoc analysis, strategy development, and execution support for senior management on special situations in the owned portfolio.

Peter's 1Y summer internship responsibilities included underwriting, due diligence, and investment committee presentation of opportunistic investments in non-performing loans, CMBS, and equity recapitalizations across sectors including multifamily, office, retail, and hospitality.

During business school, Peter worked part-time for EGI to develop both macroeconomic and office submarket specific research on Commonwealth REIT's (CWH) top 30 markets in advance of EGI taking control of management and rebranding the REIT as Equity Commonwealth (EQC).

Peter was the Analyst on the four person investments team for the largest owner and operator of assisted living, Alzheimer's care, and CCRC communities in the Northeast. Peter was responsible for the identification, analysis, and execution of acquisitions and asset management of Seniors Housing investments. During his time with Benchmark, Peter underwrote over $2BN of new investments, including working on the team that executed a 34 asset, 3,000 unit recapitalization with a public REIT. Peter was additionally responsible for maintaining lender relationships and executing refinancing activities, asset management of high-touch assets, quarterly portfolio valuations and reforecasting, development project management oversight, and the creation and presentation of Investment Committee materials.
