Infrastructure/Networks Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:• Managing the delivery of a vendor sourced credit card system and necessary integration into rabobank’s systems and business areas. This was a highly complex project due to the newness of the product to the bank and distinction from anything done by rabobank to date.• Managing the delivery of a mobile banking “App” on iPhone and Android. Bringing together vendors, internal infrastructure teams, Applications teams, Business Teams and Security to deliver a new offering to Rabobank clients.• As part of a T24 core banking upgrade it was necessary to upgrade Rabobank’s Client Management System, used for origination and managing Client products. Successfully delivering system upgrades in conjunction with the overall Program delivery.• Successfully delivering of Rabobank’s major Internet Banking upgrade under PRINCE2 methodology. The project aim is to deliver the latest version of the vendor’s Internet Banking product, with customisations to meet Rabobank’s needs and to upgrade hardware and supporting software.

WESTPAC ONLINE TRANSFORMATION PROGRAMKey Responsibilities:• This is a large program of work, over $300m to replace Westpac’s Internet banking suite. The program incorporated customization of a package interfacing with middleware to existing and new Westpac systems.• Most recently managed a project to design and build the Payments functionality of the platform. Managing up to 20 members including Vendor resources. Managing resourcing, plans, schedule, risks and issues in order to deliver positive outcomes for the business.• Successfully delivered Design/Build/Test/Implementation phases of multiple (simultaneous) projects on existing and new Westpac systems to integrate with the new platform. These ranged from $10m “Financial Hub” project to $100k.• During times of extended absence and increasing workload on other PMs, I took over multiple projects and enabled progress to continue whilst adding my own value to the projects.Key achievements:• Adapted my Project Management knowledge and experience to run the Payments project bringing together Westpac and Vendor team members of all skill areas.• Successfully delivering multiple phases of the “Financial Hub”. A key strategic system built for Westpac’s financial transactions management.• Successfully managing a number of simultaneous projects, often in a highly demanding environment with tight deadlines.• A key success factor for me as Project Manager was being adaptable to the fast pace and dynamic needs of the program.

Key Responsibilities:• Corporate Online is an industry leading Internet Banking site for Corporate and high end Business Customers.• I successfully implemented a number of business and technology initiated projects to ensure business needs, compliance and regulatory requirements and supportability is being met and enhanced.• Business projects ranged from strategic requirements to ensure customer offering kept ahead of market to identifying gaps in business/customer needs and working with business to close these with upgrades. Often a key to success was getting functionality and business changes out to the market swiftly.• Such projects as infrastructure projects to upgrade hardware and software. Increase infrastructure capacity.• Technology driven changes included a number to increase/improve supportability. To enable support teams to have the tools necessary to provide optimal service. Patch upgrades on supporting infrastructure and software. Key achievements:• Identifying a number of key areas of customer and business concern and implementing solutions to meet their needs.• Being able to take on a variety of projects, often differing in nature and deliver them to meet Westpac needs.

WESTPAC CORPORATE ONLINE• Management of the technology support team. The system is the key banking platform for Westpac’s high end Business and Corporate customers.• Management of system stability, Disaster Recovery, Change Management, Incident Management ensuring minimal impact to customers.• Providing second level support to customers, solving complex user issues and investigations.• Stakeholder management; ensuring business areas are engaged and their needs are met.• Providing status reporting to upper management ensuring visibility.• Collaboration with Westpac backend systems and vendors to ensure strong partnership model.

CORPORATE ONLINE/ONLINE FX - WESTPAC INSTITUTIONAL BANK• Development of data feeds from into Corporate Online from the Mainframe. • Development of front-end presentation layer using Microsoft classic ASP and XSLT.Some key achievements during this role were to further enhance and update my web/n-tier application development skills. During my time I was able to spend time in multiple areas of the system thus gaining a unique perspective across the Corporate Online suite. This was a major factor moving to my next role.

MIS - WESTPAC INSTITUTIONAL BANKPrimary duties were to design, develop and support enhancements to Financial Markets reporting system GMIS. The system was built using PowerBuilder on a Sybase database. The data was powered by the PROMIS MIS system providing data from many Westpac Financial systems. Building data streams from other financial systems was also part of my role.
