Most of my clients are major ‘A’ brands in the Netherlands, Belgium and France who want retail impact. I take a broad set of requirements and come up with specific, concrete proposals. For example, floor or counter displays or even complete shop-in-shop presentations for certain retail chains. But that’s really just the start. How do you make sure that a presentation is distinctive enough? And appropriate to the brand? This is where my added value lies.Dealing with different types of people from different cultural backgrounds is one of my particular strengths. I often work with clients in Belgium, who look at things differently from clients in the Netherlands. So we adapt our approach accordingly. I always take a good look at the person in front of me and what their needs are.Either do something well, or don’t do it at all – that’s a ground rule for me. I’m not happy with a job half-done. But patience is sometimes required too. There are times when you have to ease off and give the customer some space.
