Unfortunately, this biotech had to make deep cost cuts, including FTE...hence my opportunity to find new employment.For the previous 3 years at GSK: Lead of gene/genomics metadata. 1) Co-accountable for metadata requirements for GSK’s e2e ‘omics flows from experiment capture through to our results data lake, primarily for our NGS sequencing. 2) Directing the curation of prioritised omics dataset metadata curation, usually with vendors resulting in millions of samples worth of deep FAIRified omics datasets, available for better and faster scientific driven business decisions. 3) Previously led creation of the conceptual and logical data model that underpins (1) and (2)A running strand throughout my career is being able to program in whatever language, be in SQL, python, R, C, linux/unix shells is needed or Excel! Or generate whatever markup language the context requires. Always something new to learn and learn from.
