I have been writing the content for the news section of www.drivers-republic.com since January this year, from press releases, through research and talking to my contacts in the industry. I also spent time helping on video and photo shoots. Employment ended when the company was put into administration.

I helped develop an extreme sports magazine exclusively aimed at the female market – effectively deciding on the ‘regular’ features in the magazine as well as setting out a feature timetable for the business model and writing the dummy issue.During this time I also worked on the press and marketing campaigns for Rochet Jewellery’s MotoGP range.

I was responsible for launching and maintaining Crash.net’s new road car and bike section, which included news, features and road tests. PA’s motoring feed formed the basis of the section, but I did a lot of the writing myself as well as all CMS work. In the course of the year the section went from having no readers to getting 140,000 page impressions per month (split approximately 60:40, bikes to cars), with a consistent growth pattern between the beginning and end of my tenure.
